Research organisation

In Finland:

The survey is carried out by the Finnish Institute for Educational Research, University of Jyväskylä, being responsible for:

• National design and realisation of the PIAAC project
• Data collection and analysis
• Reporting of preliminary results

Statistics Finland is in charge of data collection:

• Data collection by interview visits
• Formatting the data as required
• Producing the data file

In Finland the project is funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment. In addition, the Finnish National Agency of Education will participate in programme steering. 

International research organisation:

The international PIAAC consortium is led by Educational Testing Service (ETS), USA.
