Interaction and dialogue in learning communities

In occupations essentially based on human relationships and interaction, capabilities for collaboration and personal contact are pivotal. Our research team focuses on dialogic learning in university studies, particularly in teacher education. Key elements in a dialogue include both a real interpersonal connection and testing of different points of view. We investigate how dialogue-based pedagogic practices promote the development of professional identity during the subject teacher studies. We also explore what kinds of capabilities the university studies provide for facing the challenges and changes occurring in working life.
