The framework of the conference is jointly planned by the national steering group and representatives from the Commission and the Cedefop. The Expert Group on Lifelong Guidance has also been consulted and has provided advice on focusing the conference programme and process aspects. The conference steering committee has liaised with the organisers of both the third International Symposium on Career Development and Public Policy in Sydney April 21-24, 2006 and of the fourth Symposium 2007, which will take place in Scotland.
