Dr. Raija Hämäläinen is a senior researcher at the Finnish Institute for Educational Research, University of Jyväskylä, Finland. Hämäläinen has designed long-term research project (as a joint effort with Jyväskylä College - ongoing since 2004) that focuses on designing and investigating new learning spaces for the future vocational education. Her main research interest deal with orchestrating collaborative learning processes and scripted computer-supported collaborative learning in technology-enhanced learning (TEL) environments. Her research has been based on active international collaboration in theoretical and design issues of TEL. The international collaboration includes for example visits to international research groups and joint international high-level publishing. Her recent publications include articles in Computers & Education, Teaching and Teacher Education, Computers in Human Behavior, and Technology, Pedagogy and Education.
