The Fifth Meeting of the European Lifelong Guidance Policy Network on 17-18 September, 2009 will take place in Riga, Latvia. The meeting shall be organised in conjunction of the 6th European conference in e-guidance “Widening the Access to Lifelong Guidance”. The meeting is organised jointly by ELGPN, the Latvian Ministry of Education and the European Commission. The ICT conference is organised jointly with the eGOS project (http://www.egos-cip.eu/riga2009/). The invitation has been sent to ELGPN national representatives and partner organisations in July 2009. The preliminary agenda is availabe below.
The meeting shall take place in Radisson SAS Daugava Hotel (24 Kugu Street, Riga, LV-1048, Latvia, http://www.radissonblu.com/hotel-riga), which is located 12 minutes away from the airport.
The working assumptions are that national delegations consist of designated ELGPN national representatives or have the mandate from their respective ministries. Travel expenses of two designated delegates of each partner country have been included in the ELGPN budget on the basis of an economy class ticket. This is to cover travel and subsistence for the meeting. The national ELGPN partner and the delegates agree how the travel expenses are reimbursed within the national ELGPN budget. The delegates, therefore, expected to make their own travel arrangements. Observers reimburse their travel expenses within national arrangements. The travel and the subsistence costs of the invited experts and partner organisations (IAEVG & Fedora) will be reimbursed by the coordinator following the national regulations of the coordinating organisation Jyväskylä University.
The delegates are asked to fill the online registration below by 31.August 2009 at the latest. The delegates are asked to do their room reservations directly to the hotel with form below and pay the accommodation themselves directly to the hotel (fixed prices 99 EUR single room/night). Lunches during the meeting and the dinners on Wednesday and Thursday evening are included in the ELGPN meeting budget.
