Wednesday 27th August:
Get together reception hosted by the City of Jyväskylä. The reception will take place from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm at the Jyväskylä City Theatre (Address: Vapaudenkatu 36). There will be guided walks to the City Theatre from the hotels at 6 o’clock organized by conference assistants. A buffet with drinks will be served in the reception.
The City Theatre is Alvar Aalto’s architecture and was has been built during 1964-1982. You can find pictures of theatre building at: http://www.jyvaskyla.fi/kaupunginteatteri/talo
Thursday 28th August:
Conference dinner will be served on m/s Rhea, cruise ship, on Lake Päijänne on Thursday evening. You are welcomed at 6.30 pm and the ship departures from Jyväskylä harbor area (nearby monument Kompassi) at 7 pm. Guided walks to the harbor leave from the hotels at 6 o’clock. Cruise in north-Päijänne’s beautiful archipelago lasts about 4 hours and the ship arrives back in the harbor at 11 pm.
Because the maximum number of passengers onboard is 199, tickets for the dinner cruise are available for the first 199 registered participants. You find your dinner cruise ticket behind your name badge. We kindly ask those of you, who have registered for the cruise but are not able to participate to return your ticket at the info desk. These tickets will then be available for those participants who are willing to enjoy the cruise but have had no chance of getting the ticket in before.
Rhea’s dinner includes buffet with desert and two drinks. You can find the menu description at Rhea’s homepage under the link group menu. When entering the ship you will get the two drink tickets that you can use during the cruise according to your own wish. During the buffet bottled water is served free of charge. The ship bars are open during the cruise at own expense.
